Earth Bound and Determined ~ 01 Jun 2019

Things swirling about. Planes in landing patterns with a dose of Ceres and Jupiter in Sagittarian optimism that things may manifest and all those planes might safely land at their intended destinations.

The other day while pondering this post and walking up our long winding driveway for the mail, the first evident heat of summer could be felt... the kind of heat that penetrates the marrow of the bones. As the heat erased the memory of recent cold, I heard an odd clucking noise. I turned to see the largest coyote I have ever seen in these parts. We made eye contact. He chattered at me some more. I waved, told the coyote that I was pleased to see him. The coyote chortled a final comment, then headed up a nearby hill. Along the way, the coyote paused and turned back... as if we were checking each others progress. Then the coyote ascended to the top of the hill - to the crest for a better vantage, as all good Capricorns, those experiencing the current influence of Capricorn, and those submitting - willfully or otherwise - to the masterful lessons of Saturn, are oft instructed to do.

It did seem the symbolism of Capricorn was the coyote’s point. Then, as I returned to the house with one eye in ad flyers seeking a suitable Saturnian discount for things I might not need, the thought appeared that stated in the way that thoughts do: the remainder of the year, suits those who are Earth-bound and determined the best.

Not Earth-bound in the negative psychic sense that a spirit cannot ascend into proper afterlife. More being inspired by the material plane to engage, commence active pursuit of the loftiest objectives and to be bound and determined to get those Sagittarian airplanes (thoughts, concepts, inventions, innovations) landed once and for all.

Given Uranus stands as the newest distant planet to engage in Earth sign (Taurus) transits, perhaps his insights can set up the necessary motivation (Pluto) to feel the unlimited surges of aspiration that fuel perseverance, persistence and the dutiful effort required for ultimate materialization.

Consider:

Uranus in Taurus

Sense the terrain under your feet. When it shifts, alter drive force and traction to comply.

Notice any and all new data. Include it all, decide what applies, immediately engage.

Assess value. Know inner assets backward and forward. Sense the value and merit of new concepts.

Respond to all things in the appropriate moment.

Pluto in Capricorn

Throw another long-burning log or two into the furnace of soulful motivation.

Value desire, need, and creative obsession.

Focus on feeling every reaction encountered within every fiber of the physical being.

Saturn in Capricorn

Define all plans. Cut no corners. Extrapolate all contingencies. Budget appropriately.

Create an internal Department of Spiritual Development to focus on purpose and destiny.

Savor responsibility, timeliness, and appropriateness.

Muse on the concept that change is best established from within to without.

Here, the huge neighborhood coyote returns to mind. He’s been outside my office window at night, making the most singular noises. Stern, guiding sounds that seem to direct the many coyotes... at least a score strong that frolic in the neighborhood, to more engage in more sensible communications. Sure it’s fun to howl at the moon, wail along with sirens... but what utterances need to be offered to the night sky? Are the petitions worthy? Are the cries meritorious? Is the lament worth the effort?

So that’s where the end of the year’s Capricorn conglomeration comes into play. Come November 15th Ceres - the planet - enters Capricorn to finish out the year and persist in the sign through the first month of 2020. On December 2nd, Jupiter joins in the collection of Capricorn planets for a year or so, bringing number of gaseous giants in Capricorn to three of four.

Consider:

Ceres in Capricorn

Fine to fight City Hall. Be sure you’re on the right side of the matter, then petition with fervor.

Pick battles and wars carefully.

Assess intended actions for any hidden self-sabotaging mechanism.

Advocate for yourself and your causes with diligence, certainly and a profound sense of destiny.

Jupiter in Capricorn

Apply long range vision.

Assess all potential outcomes prior to all initiation.

Promptly petition the Universe for support and immediately apply your efforts.

Later in December the solstice occurs as the Sun enters Capricorn. The very next day the asteroid Icarus enters Capricorn. Essentially they stand conjunct on the solstice as this year. This alignment reaps the significance of the mythology of Icarus flying too close to the Sun, causing his wings to melt and resulted in his plummet into the sea.

It’s time to land the planes safely. Sure, it’s fantastic to offer thoughts, words and deeds to the heavens. It’s wonderful to climb to the heights (maybe not on the most crowded Mount Everest right now) and view the dominion that lies before you. It’s not low-hanging fruit. It is however a cornucopia of purpose and destiny. Reaching into the loftiness with the heavens with the guidance of Jupiter, the accord of Saturn, the unique insight of Uranus and the passion of Pluto... all the while remaining true to experience, capability and wisdom, and without excessive proximity to the Sun - that is the perfectly punched ticket for those seated in the Earth bound and determined class.

There’s a powerful set of outcomes to seize in the remainder of this years.
